BECSA offers bursaries to talented candidates who are South African residents, for full time university and university of technology students studying in the following disciplines; Mining Engineering, Mine Surveying, Extractive Metallurgy, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering (Heavy and Light Current), Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering (Minerals Processing) and Geology (Honours).
Mining, Mechanical & Electrical Engineering students are expected to further their qualifications and achieve the Government Certificate of Competency and Mine Managers certificate respectively.
